The Smythesdale Cemetery, established in 1859, celebrated 150 years of operations in 2009 and continues to support its community.

The Cemetery is located 2.5km south of Smythesdale on the left of the Glenelg Highway and just before the Scarsdale township (approximately 17km from Ballarat).

The Smythesdale Cemetery is open to the public 7 days a week.

Please note that if the COUNTRY FIRE AUTHORITY declares a CODE RED Fire Danger day, the cemetery will be CLOSED.
